Cardano Ghana Delegates at Cardano Constitutional Convention, Nairobi.
I am excited to share about my participation in the Cardano Constitutional Convention held on Dec. 3–6, 2024, in Nairobi (in-person) and Buenos Aires (virtual), simultaneously.

As a delegate from Tamale, Ghana, together with my alternate, Seidu Ziblim Abu, and our fellow Accra delegate, Afia Owusu, and alternate, Ekow Harding, we represented GHANA 🇬🇭 among the 52 countries across the world.
With Africa, the Middle East, and Asia convening in Nairobi, delegates and alternates participated in the final in-person synthesis workshop to review the draft constitution with a series of temperature checks on key articles and sections.
To cut a long story short, it was truly a historic moment for the Cardano Community, having a constitution drafted by and for the people. Each delegate and alternate represented a larger Cardano community from each participating country, contributing to shaping the draft constitution. The good news is that a final vote was conducted for delegates to either approve or disapprove the latest draft of the constitution at the convention, and 95% of delegates approved the current version of the constitution to go on-chain.
With a special keynote address from the Founder and CEO of Input Output Global (IOG), Charles Hoskinson, delegates and alternates ended the convention with a constitutional signing ceremony to affirm their approval of the latest draft of the constitution. We now await the final decision by DReps and the Civics Committee for the constitution to finally go on-chain or otherwise.
For me, Cardano remains the only blockchain that has the community at heart, empowers the community through decentralization (DReps and SPOs), and encourages innovation and collaboration through its amazing Project Catalyst Grant Program. Some of my favorite quotes from Charles’s presentation:
• “If we do our job well, the world will run on Cardano.”
• “My roadmap is done. The Cardano community’s roadmap has begun.”
• “If we don’t like the way the world works, we don’t just complain about it, we change it.”
Congratulations to hashtag#CardanoCommunity on this historic milestone. And kudos to the Intersect MBO and Input Output Group teams for the enormous work they put into the planning, coordination and execution of this global convention.
I would like to also acknowledge the Cardano Foundation, one of Cardano’s founding entities, led by Frederik Gregaard for their constructive proposal towards the draft of the constitution and also participating in the convention at BA, with Alex in pic below representing CF in Nairobi. Future workstreams noted.
I’m proud of my contribution not just to Cardano but also to the growth and adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency in Ghana since 2017. As a Cardano Ambassador and founder of the Cardano Ghana Community, I look forward to much more impactful developer, education, and adoption initiatives in the coming year and beyond.
