🚩 Bora Capital Advisors Appointed Fund Manager of CDH Balanced Fund Plc.
Bora Capital Advisors has been appointed Fund Manager of CDH Balanced Fund Plc., effective October 1st, 2026.
Confirming the appointment, Board Chairman Lawyer Emmanuel Amissah challenged Bora Capital to deliver superior investment services to grow the Fund and create value for shareholders. At the virtual Extraordinary General Meeting on September 28, 2026, Bora Executive Director Mr. William Mensah pledged stronger shareholder engagement and effective management of the Fund.

🚩 GRA to Work With Tullow Ghana to Resolve US$393 Million Tax Dispute
The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has said it will work with Tullow Ghana to resolve a US$393 million tax dispute without disrupting the company's petroleum operations. The assurance follows a ruling by an international tribunal affirming GRA's tax assessment as lawful.
In an interview with Joy Business, Commissioner-General Anthony Kwesi Sarpong welcomed the ruling and said the authority would engage all parties to settle the dispute amicably. "The Ghana Revenue Authority welcomes the news of victory at the London Arbitration sustaining a tax claim of over US$393 million," he said.
He described the win as significant because it demonstrates that GRA fairly applies Ghana's tax laws to both international and local businesses, adding: "When there is a dispute, we follow the rules."
🚩 Karpowership Ghana Seeks Contract Extension Beyond August 2027
Karpowership Ghana is seeking an extension of its power generation contract beyond August 2027, when its current licence expires. The company says it remains optimistic about ongoing discussions with the government and believes its continued contribution to Ghana's electricity supply makes a strong case for an extension.
Karpowership currently supplies 450 megawatts of electricity to the national grid. The issue came into focus when Western Regional Minister Joseph Nelson paid a working visit to the Karpowership facility in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, to familiarise himself with its operations and contribution to Ghana's power sector.
